Where oh where is my aspergillum?

Find out by playing Catholic Tap It! Hear the name of one of the objects then tap the right picture among many others. See how many you get correct before time runs out. Choose how many images to include in the Catholic Tap It game to make it easier for little ones or more challenging for older children and adults. You can optionally display the word instead of (or in addition to) hearing it’s name. Helps teach word association and image recognition.

Catholic Words & Games: Catholic Name Match

Is that a cruet or a crotalus? The answer is just a tap away in Catholic Name Match!

Ten button names appear in the Word Bin at the top of the screen. A matrix of ten objects appear below. Drag each name down towards the correct picture. Hear the name of the object as you drag it downward. If you’re right, the name snaps into place and congratulatory music plays. Otherwise the word returns to the bin so you can try again. Race the clock or aim for accuracy! Improves hand-eye coordination and enhances vocabulary by further reinforcing the name of the object with its visual representation.

Catholic Words & Games: Spell It

Sure, you know what an aspergillum is, but do you know how to spell it? Find out by playing Catholic Spell It!

An image appears of one of the Catholic Flash Card objects. Below it are letter tiles. Tap the tiles in the right order to spell the object’s name. Additional letters that aren’t part of the word make the game more challenging. If you need help, the Bomb Button removes an unnecessary letter. Still stumped? Press the Speaker Button to hear the word pronounced or tap the Add Letter Button to have the next letter automatically placed. Disable these buttons to make the game more difficult. The game tests memory recall and improves written communication through spelling practice.

Catholic Words & Games: Flash CardsAt the core of the Catholic Words & Games app are over 65 colorful flash cards of liturgical vessels, vestments and other Catholic objects and sacramentals created just for this app.

Select among six different play modes. Advance the flash cards by swiping or select the slideshow feature where you determine the time interval between images. Hear the name of the objects properly pronounced by a professional voiceover artist. Tap the dictionary icon for a glossary entry with a real-world picture of the item.

The flash card deck is fully customizable—pick and choose which cards to include in the deck to tailor for little ones just starting their faith journey. Save multiple card groups for later use. Other settings allow you to turn the voiceover, music, sound effects and looping on or off. The cards can appear in random or alphabetical order. You can even choose to have the names displayed in ALL CAPS, all lower case or Mixed Case.

In addition to the Catholic Flash Cards module, enjoy 4 fun learning games to further reinforce the vocabulary words:

MEMORY MATCH     TAP IT     SPELL IT     NAME MATCH

All this is included in the Catholic Words & Games app—no InApp purchases—there is nothing else to buy or unlock.
No distracting banner ads and no annoying pop-up ads either! It really is five apps in one.
